VersiPave®GP

What is VersiPave® GP

VersiPave® GP is a lightweight, high strength plastic paver support designed to eliminate the use of sand when laying pavers, resulting in reduced weight-bearing loads on building structures.

VersiPave® GP paver supports are used in the construction of roofs, plaza decks, balconies, pool surrounds, reflective pools and verandas.

VersiPave® GP incorporates integrated snap-on chocks, each adjustable in height from 24 mm to 34 mm. The height may be increased with the use of proprietary “extenders”.

VersiPave® GP allows the easy placement of most pavers such as granite, marble, precast concrete and porcelain where a well drained and level surface is required.

VersiPave® GP reduces sound transmission, increases heat insulation and allows unsightly services to be concealed within the cavity under the elevated platform allowing easy access to waterproofing membranes and services, when required.

* Any product warranty for VersiPave is voided where pavers are supported beyond 35mm without the use of Elmich proprietary extenders.

VersiPave® GP consists of a circular base divided into quadrants. Each pedestal has a 24 mm high raised rectangular support.

Where required, the height of each support is adjustable in increments of approximately 1 mm up to 34 mm high and is easily extended up to 150 mm using proprietary 10 mm and 30 mm VersiPave® GP Extenders.

Installation:

  • Measure the total area to be paved to determine the number of pavers and VersiPave® GP required.
  • One VersiPave® GP unit is required for each paver to be supported.
  • Mark the intersection of the corners of each paver to be laid.
  • Pack up to leveling line with VersiPave® Extenders, if necessary.
  • Where free edges and corners are to be supported, break the VersiPave® GP along the quadrant line.
  • Place VersiPave® GP units on the positions marked out on the surface to be paved.
  • Place the pavers into place on each VersiPave® GP and simply adjust the chocks on the supports to ensure each paver is level.

Choose VersiPave ® GP for An Exceptional Floor

Sensational looking paving that stands the test of time starts with the system you choose to support your pavers. You need strength, durability, and optimum drainage and waterproofing, from your paving, and VersiPave ® GP provides this. VersiPave ® GP is an adjustable polypropylene support system that achieves a well-drained, level surface for your floor. These polypads are designed to use with a variety of floor materials and pavers, including 20 mm porcelain tiles. They’re quick and easy to install, and extremely strong and durable.

Where can you use VersiPave ® GP?

You can use VersiPave ® GP just about anywhere from patios and pool surrounds to pedestrian walkways and commercial rooftops. For maximum durability, use polypads with porcelain tiles; they are exceptionally strong and available in a huge range of different styles to suit a variety of environments.

You don’t need to use sand when installing polypads, which means a reduced load. This makes them ideal when you need to install pavers on building structures; VersiPave ® GP is ideal for roof gardens, roof terraces, and balconies.

What are the benefits of using VersiPave ® GP,  Polypad?

With VersiPave ® GP, you achieve a raised floor. You can conceal unsightly services like plumbing and electrical wiring in the cavity beneath the elevated platform. You still have easy access to waterproofing membranes and other underfloor features when needed.

As well as allowing optimum drainage, the cavity maximises air ventilation, increases heat insulation, and reduces sound transmission. Since the polypad are made from polypropylene, they are lightweight and unaffected by moulds and algae.

How much of a cavity will there be under the elevated platform?

Polypads have an adjustable height thanks to snap-on chocks. This means that you are able to ensure a flat, stable surface, even after variations in the substrate or the pavers have been factored in. You can adjust the height in increments of 1 mm from 24 mm to 34 mm, or up to 150 mm if you use proprietary extenders.

How difficult is it to install polypads?

It’s easy to install polypads because, unlike traditional laying methods, they don’t need sand or a bedding layer. The pavers you lay can expand and contract without causing any damage to the substrate or waterproofing membrane. VersiPave® GP consists of a circular base divided into quadrants. Simply place the pavers on each VersiPave® GP and adjust the chocks to ensure each is level. Pavers don’t require any adhesive or grout so they are easy to install and remove.

What pavers can you use with VersiPave GP?

You can use VersiPave® GP with most pavers including granite, marble, precast concrete, and porcelain. PolyPads are ideal to use with 20 mm porcelain tiles since porcelain is exceptionally strong, hardwearing, fade-resistant, slip-resistant, and they won’t stain or scratch.

When you’re installing paving, you want strength, practicality and a great aesthetic result. Polypads can help you achieve all of this. For exceptional flooring that will easily cope with the intended traffic conditions for years to come, get in touch with us.
